I struggling to understand how the chauvinistic and misogynist attacks help promote your argument. Obviously Shelly's post has created a passionate response in you. Wow! you figured it out Erroin. Shelly's post did create a passionate response from me but and this is my point the response was not the kind of response that she was aiming for. You say you are "struggling to understand my position". My position is crystal clear that women all together too offten in their writing in their zeal to glorify themselves are in so doing putting men down. I am warning them that they should be trying to gain male susport and you don't do that by making men feel inferior. What's so difficult to understand about what I said?
You accuse me who am the father of four daughters all of whom are very successful as being a woman hater. If I hated women as you charge than I wouldn't have responded to Shelly's post. My comments were designed to help Shelly and women in general to make males their alies rather than enemies. Let me give you an example to help you see my point. When women advocate for more women leadership in the world they need to be careful that they don't give the impression that the reason they want more female leadership is because they think women are superior leaders. Why? Because by so doing it is a put down of men. You can't claim women are superior without claiming men are inferior. To get more women leadership in the world it would be much better to promote the idea that many women posses traits that when added to the already existing male traits will lead to better leadership. Thus we should not say I believe we need more women in the board rooms of coroperative America because women are better decission makers. Rather we should say I believe we need more women in the board rooms of corporate America because women and men together make better decissions than either would make without the other.

thank you for reading the blog, this post, and for commenting. Your position would be better served by finding another means to voice your argument, namely evidence over ad hominem and misogynist attacks.

Two things I want to point out about the mistakes Shelly Kramer has made in her post. First lets examine how she apparently doesn't bother to proof read her material for if she does than I seriously question her level of inteligence. Right off in the very first sentence she contradicts herself. Here's the quote, "Marketing and PR have long been fields dominated by women and, as we move into the world of new media, especially all things related to social mediums, it’s no surprise that this is an area where women are amazingly adept. I’ll be the first to admit that, right now, men seem to dominate the field. You can’t toss a stick without hitting guys like Chris Brogan, Brian Solis, Jay Baer, Gary Vaynerchuck and other heavy hitters in the world of new media. My advice to those talented gentlemen: enjoy it while you can, because it won’t be long until you’re overtaken by the Estrogen Team".

Notice how she starts out by saying, Marketing and PR have long been fields dominated by women" But then in the very next sentence she states," I’ll be the first to admit that, right now, men seem to dominate the field" So which is it Shelly? First you say women have dominated the field then you say men seem to be dominating the field .Why is this important? How seriously are readers going to take the writings of an author who contradicts herself?

Then she reveals her female superiority complex when she warns those talented gentlemen that "team estrogen are going to over take them". Then perhaps realizing that this might not go down too well because she comes off as a braggart she says its a joke but atleast we male readers don't think she is sincere. And here's another mistake she makes as do most females feminest with female superiority complexes and that is of dispite claiming as women do that they have the exclusive claim on empathy that she fails to empathize with her male readers. She should be asking herself how are men likely to respond to what I am writing?

If women overtake these gentlemen she is refering to; what does it mean for these men? Does it mean that they will loose their careers! Are men suspose to be delighted over the prospects of loosing their jobs? So men are apt to stiffen their resolve to do everything they can to fight women seeking to take their careers away from them because their very careers are on the line.

Now how serious is this? Ladies understand that it is impropper to say Women won the right to vote? Why? Because it implies you won it all by yourselves. Truth is a lot of men worked to secure for you your right to vote. Recently a lot of obstacles to women's uppward mobility have come crashing down. Did women accomplish this all by themselves? Once again the answer is no they had considerable help from men. What's the point? The point is ladies you need to understand you need to enlist males as allies not turn men into enemies. When you larvish as does Shelly a ton of grerat virtues upon women while hardly saying anything positive about your brothers than you are likely turnning your brothers into enemies because nobody likes being made to feel inferior.

Shelly will no doubt defend herself from these critisisms by saying this post was written to women not men.
Do you not know that anything that goes out over the web is going to be read by unintended eyes.Haven't enough celeberties gotten into trouble apparently not realizing that unintended eyes are apt to be reading their material" Ladies whatever you write understand that when you build yourselves up you are tearing down men. If you had a small girl and boy would you larvish your boy child with tons of praises in front of your daughter while not saying anything praiseworthy about her? Would it surprise you to see her contenence fallen? And if you swhatter her self-estem do you think anything good will come from it?.

Now you could say aren't I doing the same thing I am acuseing Shelly of? Aren't I only spewing out negatives about Shelly while saying nothin good. this is a good example of what I am trying to say.Shelly is getting back what she gave out. As the good book says, Whatsoever you sow that shall you also reape.

Deep Think

One thing that keeps coming up when women write about how superior they are to men is that women claim they have the ability to empathize. If so do they ever stop to consider as they heap one great virtue after another on themselves of how men are likely to respond.? women claim they are better at conflict resolution than men but as I read these feminest blogs I feel the tiger in me rising to fight them. Ladies let me give you a little advice if your so superior as you claim why have the inferior males subjucated or dominated you? If the hand that rocks the cradle is a femine hand than how poorly must you have been doing that the boy's who characeters you have shaped have grown up with a desire to dominate you? If you want to calim that behind every successful man there is a woman who allegedly made him successful are you also willing to take the blame for every man who has failed? And since there are many more failures than successes women as a whole have been doing a very poor job at influencing men. Now see what you have done? Notice the anger coming from me. If indeed your so good at empathizing you should have written your blog in such a manner as to have encouraged my susport but instead you have made of me an enemy. Hey even a man can do that..

Robert,

I could not agree more. What makes women powerful in marketing and social media in particular, is their ability to build diverse networks. Women typically build networks of diverse talents that strengthen a group/team/community. It makes them incredibly effective marketers.

Well said, Mike Kunkle. And being the inclusive sort, I absolutely agree that that is the best solution of all. And that, my good friend, is what we shall strive toward! Thanks, as always, for being a pal, for making time to read and, even better, making time to share your two centavos. They are muy appreciated!
