We Applaud Great Customer Service



While we are a bunch of lions here at Von Gehr Consulting Group, we also are pet owners.  Yesterday we had a wonderful customer service experience through email.  Take a look:

I had never even heard of your breed of dogs before. Live and learn, huh?

I was looking at a couple of web sites on those dogs and I think you’d be best off with mediums. Same price. Two inches more lamp and adjustable down. My smalls are, I think may be a bit tight and the lamp a bit short for their necks.

Ottawa is about 6 hours from here. Postage is $8 and you should have them early next week. Although I do love hooking up with clients when they are near-by or visiting, a TWELVE hour drive there and back is a bit far for a coffee and a ”here’s your collars.”

Maybe just send me a photo of your buddies in their collars after you get them.

The wonderful tone and response to our question about visiting them was honest and humorous.  That alone makes a customer like us feel really appreciated.  What sends this message over the top in customer care is that Dave researched our dogs and helped us make the right choice in collars for them.  That extra effort means a lot for owners like us and will definitely result in singing their praises.

What can you learn from this?

  • Share with your customers/clients that you have researched their need.  It shows them that you care about their problem and that you have their best interests at heart.  Unlike your competition, it will demonstrate that you understand their point of view.
